Horror Library Display Pt2

Posted by SalesianLibrary on August 6, 2010

So we’ve been working on our horror display in bits and pieces all week and I think it looks pretty good now. I’ve taken a few more photos this morning for you all to have a look at, but I think you should come down to the Library to check it out in person. We’ve had a student working on her own display table as well, and she’s just finished that. It looks fantastic! Definitely worth having a look at!

This is a picture of the table the student decorated. She’s gone crazy with the spider web but I think it looks really effective. She’s also cut out some little bats to hang, some which are flying around and some which are asleep.

Here’s another picture of the table! I love it!

And here are some pictures of some of the props that have been added to the display. They’ve been kindly donated by some of the staff that work at the school and I think they look really good. Very creepy!

Horror Library Display Pt1

Posted by SalesianLibrary on August 3, 2010

We wanted to celebrate book week in the Library, however we thought that the theme ‘Over the Story Bridge’ was a little young for our High School student audience. Which is partly why we went with a horror theme, the other part being that it tied in perfectly with our ‘Zombify it’ competition. So we’ve started decorating the library! You’ll be able to see in the pictures some of the things we’ve done so far (more are to come) and the fact that we’ve probably gone way over the top with the spider webs. lol But I like our book displays that we’ve done, the spider webs, tombs and bats give it that extra bit of spookiness, plus I love our Grim Reaper who is watching over the students and books!
