Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween everyone! I know we don’t really celebrate it here but I’ve made up a little display of books in the library anyway. On the front desk you’ll find some non-fiction books on UFO’s, ghosts, the supernatural and more and then over near the front door I’ve filled our book stand with lots of scary and dark fiction. As you can see I’ve also changed the design of the blog to a Halloween theme.
Is anyone going trick or treating? Or doing anything for Halloween? Enjoy this picture! It looks pretty freaky with the new design!
Latest Twilight movie news
A third (and apparently final) trailer has been released for the Twilight movie. You can view it at the trailerspy website. It’s also viewable on the twilightthemovie home page.
There’s also a new poster:
Plus the Stephanie Meyer website has a track listing for the soundtrack.
The IMDB website’s page for the film still lists the release date as December 11, which is good news!

Read a book through email
Okay, so some days I don’t get the most interesting email. Today I found out about and joined the Dear Reader Teen Book Club where I will now get a portion of a book a day for the entire week! It’s great because it’s actual teens who select, introduce, and ask questions about the book. A new book is picked each week – it is not always a new title, but something many people would enjoy. It’s a great way to be introduced to array of teen books and authors. To sign up visit www.dearreader.com/suteen.html
There are also other book clubs on the site you can join including NonFiction, Fiction, Science Fiction and so on. You can find the list at http://www.dearreader.com/join.html

Lock and Key
Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen
(Description from Amazon.com)
“Ruby, where is your mother?”
Ruby knows that the game is up. For the past few months, she’s been on her own in the yellow house, managing somehow, knowing that her mother will probably never return.
That’s how she comes to live with Cora, the sister she hasn’t seen in ten years, and Cora’s husband Jamie, whose down-to-earth demeanor makes it hard for Ruby to believe he founded the most popular networking Web site around. A luxurious house, fancy private school, a new wardrobe, the promise of college and a future—it’s a dream come true. So why is Ruby such a reluctant Cinderella, wary and defensive? And why is Nate, the genial boy next door with some secrets of his own, unable to accept the help that Ruby is just learning to give?
Best-selling author Sarah Dessen explores the heart of a gutsy, complex girl dealing with unforeseen circumstances and learning to trust again.
